Playing Warhammer while discussing my views on MASH?
Why not? That is the question. A few drinks may have been consumed, I’m relaxed, just bought Warhammer Regicide (Chess type game) and thought screw it. Let’s play Warhammer Regecide (Chess), while having a few quite drinks and discussing the good points and bad points about Mash. There may also be a mention of my Chess arch nemesis Darren Swayne, who I could never beat at Chess in primary school. He is a good bloke and a good chess player. Could down the beers himself pretty good!
So, if you don’t know about MASH, then you need to get into it before watching/playing my gameplay/discussion video/youtube thing, as none of my ramblings will make any sense whatsoever. So go watch the 11 seasons of MASH then come back to this and watch it. It all good, I’ll wait……
You back? Good! Also, I must point out that even though I am having some drinky drinkies during the video, please understand I am drink responsibly and the belching is helping the responsible process.
So, let’s talk Warhammer Regicide quickly, and not MASH
Righto. Warhammer Regicide, the game, the one and only. If you think Battle Chess, up the violence by like 1 million, add on a couple of extra moves for your characters, a campaign with story to play through, extra campaigns, skirmish and multiplayer, you have summed up the game in one word, Chess, but more modernised. It actually works well, after a while the action scenes do get repetitive, but what is left is a deep thinking game that will give many hours of enjoyment. Would have this game got as much “visibility” if it was released without the WARHAMMER frontage? No. If this was released as a normal indie developed game then it may not have been as successful as it has. But if you like turn based strategy, then this game is indeed worth getting/playing/drinking too and swearing about Darren beating you in Grade 5. Oh, and in the video is me being totally not in control of the game, and losing my queen in one swift move. I was indeed gob smacked. This game is worth getting.
So, Let’s talk about MASH quickly, and not Warhammer Regicide.
Drone through Season 1, it’s isn’t great. The Movie is just okay, Season 2-5 (with Franks Burns) is where it is at. As soon as Alan Alda takes over in the story writing and direction it bombs for a couple of seasons, but makes a come back when Charles Emerson Winchester III character was developed past the 2nd dimension. Then dies in the arse again until it is redeemed with the memorable movie length last episode. Such a moving episode that I may or may not have cried, I cannot confirm or deny this (I cried like a wittle baby). And yes, I am aware of the irony of saying Season 1 does suck a bit, then using a screen shot of Hawkeye crying from Season 1. What evs man, get of my ad superiorem. A little medical joke there that probably isn’t accurate.
